Instant Dissidence in residency at Theatre in the Mill

Yesterday we started our residency at the Theatre in the Mill in Bradford. Instant Dissidence have a week’s space at The Mill to create their new piece When Night Falls, a Light Night commission and a work funded by the Arts Council and supported by Theatre in the Mill, Bradford.

Holly Johnson, a final year performance student at Leeds Met University, is on a placement with us and has also joined the residency.

The other people involved in the project are Lucy Barker (filmmaker), Spin Arts Management (Sarah Shead and Mickey Finn), and the Artistic Director of Theatre in the Mill (Iain Bloomfield) is also providing mentorship.

First reheasal on monday went well, with Holly and I talking through the piece in great detail and finalising its dramaturgy.
